“The Bordigona “is a family run guest house situated in the Val Di Vara ,on the antique roman road ,the Via Aurelia (sp1) ,on the outskirts of a small village, Carrodano.The guest house has recently been completely refurbished.

The Val di Vara is the biggest valley in the regione of La Spezia, and is also known as the “Biological Valley” with most local farmers producing organically produced products.
You can find locally produced dairy products, cured meats, honey, chestnut and maize flours and wines in local shops .
Also to be enjoyed in the area treking up Mount Gottero (1640m) or rafting in the river Vara, cycling and mountain biking.

There are also plenty (and inexpensive) restauranta and pizzerias in the area.
